At Vecona Vintage, you will discover exquisite ladies' and gentlemen's wear inspired by the 1920s to the 1940s. We are Janet & Kai, and our journey as clothiers began in 2009, sparked by our love for swing dancing, from Lindy Hop to Balboa and Blues. Our passion for heritage goes even deeper: we have long shared a love for classic cars, which we enjoy driving (and even more frequently, repairing). Over the years, our interests in vintage aviation and sporting pursuits have shaped our collection, leading to the development of practical, authentic pieces designed for modern life.

- For everyone: We offer a comprehensive and curated range of both ladies' and gentlemen's clothing in the authentic style of the 1920s to 1940s.
- Exquisit fabrics: Every Vecona Vintage garment is crafted from the finest materials. Our pure wools, cottons, and linen blends are primarily dyed and woven in Germany and Austria to ensure superior quality.
- Back to nature: By using natural fibres, our clothing is breathable, temperature-regulating, and easy to care for. Often, simply airing the garment or dabbing it with a damp cloth is enough. By washing less frequently, you save time and money while protecting the environment.
- Local workshops: Our production takes place exclusively within the EU. This ensures short supply chains and a low carbon footprint. Furthermore, close proximity to our workshops allows for meticulous quality control at every stage.
- Authentic: Our designs feature intricate details, including Art Deco linings, adjustable cinch backs, period-correct fasteners, and excellent craftsmanship.
- For all occasions: Our collection is not only stylish but also immensely practical for everyday wear. Despite the elegant, figure-flattering cuts, our garments never restrict movement. They are perfectly suited for dancing, the Tweed Ride, or vintage car rallies.
- Ready, set, go! Vecona Vintage is the only specialist provider of an extensive vintage sportswear collection, including knickerbockers, gym wear, heritage ski attire, and classic swimwear.
- Mix & match: The Vecona Vintage collection functions as a capsule wardrobe. Each piece is designed to be interchangeable and easily combined, allowing you to create a multitude of outfits with just a few key items.
- Responsible production: We are dedicated to the concept of Slow Fashion. Our collection grows thoughtfully with new designs added over time; we do not believe in seasonal trends that are discarded as quickly as they arrive.
- Vintage expertise: We offer comprehensive personal styling advice, helping you select the perfect model and the correct size. Sustainability
It is therefore important that we obtain materials of consistent quality and color over a longer period of time. This can only be reliably achieved through close cooperation with local manufacturers.
Quality Standard
Most of our fabrics therefore come from traditional weaving mills in Bavaria and Austria, where we now even have a say in the patterns, colors, and composition. Our buttons are GOTS-compliant and are also produced in Germany and Austria.
Social Responsibility
Our entire collection is manufactured in the EU. Mostly in a small, family-run sewing workshop in Bulgaria, but also in Portugal and Poland. Small batches are produced just across the Rhine, in Mainz.
Plastic-free
Sales are mainly conducted via the online shop. Recyclability and durability are also important to us when it comes to packaging. Our items are shipped in high-quality riveted cardboard boxes and completely free of plastic. Locally, items can be taken home in reusable carrier bags.
On Tour
Would you prefer to feel and try on the items yourself and receive personal advice? We regularly take our entire collection to events, which we announce on our homepage, Facebook, and Instagram.
